Logic Probe

Logic Probe

This part will log the process on assembling the logic probe. First, lets unboxing and check the parts and the PCB.

The kit comes in the plastic bag, well packed.

Looks like all the components are included except the IC socket. I will be use an 8-pin IC socket for the IC.

These are the pcbs, and looks very nice. I think it is very straight forward to solder. The soldering process take about 20 minutes.

These are the finished board, front and back. The soldering part has been cleaned up by the flux remover.

I have tested the board and its working fine. Note that the PCB is non-isolated, so as described in the manual it is very sensitive when we use it with hand. It is better to isolate the PCB with plastic etc.

This logic probe is useful when we want to trouble shooting with logic ICs, but till now, I haven’t use this probe yet. In my conclusion we don’t actually need this probe but it is a very good tool for learning logic ICs.
