IchigoJam is a low power, low cost single board computer development platform. It runs IchigoJam Basic on power up and we can use this platform to build our own project. This is the primary version of IchigoJam that I build on late 2014.
The premier version of IchigoJam basic can store only 4 programs in 4 location on the build in flash memory. With the later version, we can add EEPROM to store more program source code according to the EEPROM size.
We can control electronnics with the I/O pins, control I2C or SPI buses, and communicate with serial port. There is also a lot 3rd party peripheral board available. I will document some of them in later update.
For now, I am using this computer to learn controlling electronics using basic, and also learn about how computer and display works using basic. Here is my current IchigoJam setup.
I am considering on building a newer version of IchigoJam, a PanCake multimedia board with enclosure someday.
